WHITE SAND TILE GROUT is a high-quality, polymer-modified cementitious grout available in a wide range of colours. It consists of Portland cement, graded fillers, special additives and chemicals, and colourfast pigments selected to provide workability, easy cleaning, rapid curing, high compressive strength, low shrinkage, good bond strength and colour stability.
It is designed for grouting ceramic, terrazzo, mosaic, porcelain and marble tiles.
Suitable for different types of tiles and natural stone.
Good workability and easy cleaning.
Rapid curing, high compressive strength and low shrinkage.
Joint Preparation
Ensure that the tiles are securely fixed and that the tile adhesive has dried thoroughly before applying any load or pressure. Remove excess adhesive from the joints to provide an even and consistent grout depth.
Natural stone and unglazed tiles may absorb fine grout particles and may be susceptible to surface discolouration. Test the mixed grout on a spare tile and follow the tile manufacturer’s sealing recommendations where applicable.
Standards Compliance
Complies with EN 13888, class CG2.
Complies with ANSI A118.7.
Mixing
Add WHITE SAND TILE GROUT to clean water in a clean container while mixing mechanically.
Mix thoroughly to obtain a smooth, consistent and easily workable mortar.
Use the recommended amount of water and do not add more than necessary.
Do not freshen partially used grout with additional water; discard it once it loses workability.
For large areas, use material from the same batch and maintain an identical water addition for every mix.
Application
Apply the mixed grout using a rubber blade, grouting trowel, rubber spatula or smooth sponge.
Press the grout firmly into the joints to fill all gaps completely.
Remove excess grout remaining on the tile surfaces.
After initial drying, clean the tiles with a wet sponge.
After the grout dries fully, complete the cleaning with a dry cloth or disposable cotton towels.
Do not rub too deeply into the tile joints during washing or drying.
Coverage
The required grout quantity depends on tile height and width, joint depth or tile thickness, joint width, grout coverage ratio and total tiled area.
The data sheet gives a WHITE SAND TILE GROUT coverage ratio of 1.5 and recommends adding approximately 10% to the estimated quantity for spillage and wastage.
Cleaning
Clean all tools with water immediately after completing the application. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
Storage and Shelf Life
Minimum shelf life is 12 months in unopened and undamaged bags under dry warehouse conditions at an ambient temperature of 5-35°C.
