Yes. WHITE SAND REP FR 200 can be applied in a single layer up to 75 mm thick on vertical concrete surfaces because of its thixotropic, non-slump properties.
Yes. It is suitable for overhead concrete repairs up to 40 mm thick in a single application.
Yes. The repair mortar can be applied up to 100 mm thick in a single layer for horizontal and patch repair applications.
Yes. WHITE SAND REP FR 200 complies with BS EN 1504-3 Class R3, making it suitable for structural concrete repair applications.
Typical compressive strength values are:
- 30 MPa or greater after 7 days
- 55 MPa or greater after 28 days (ASTM C109)
The product provides a bond strength of 1.8 MPa or greater after 28 days, ensuring excellent adhesion to existing concrete.
WHITE SAND REP FR 200 achieves a flexural strength of 6 MPa or greater after 28 days according to ASTM C348.
Yes. The product has a VOC content below 10 g/L, making it LEED compliant and suitable for sustainable construction projects.
Before application:
- Remove damaged concrete.
- Cut back repairs to sound concrete (minimum 10 mm depth).
- Clean all contaminants.
- Saturate absorbent substrates with clean water.
- Remove rust from reinforcing steel by grit blasting.
- Replace severely corroded reinforcement if necessary.
- Saw-cut repair edges.
- Clean thoroughly with a brush or compressed air.
Yes. Steel reinforcement should be coated with a corrosion inhibitor, and the prepared concrete should receive WHITE SAND PRIME RC acrylic primer and bonding agent. Apply the repair mortar while the primer is still tacky.
Mix approximately 4 liters of clean water per 25 kg bag. Slowly add the powder while mixing with a grout mixer or slow-speed drill fitted with a high-shear paddle. Mix for at least 3 minutes until a homogeneous consistency is achieved. Do not prepare partial mixes.
Apply the mortar by hand or with a steel trowel. Firmly compact it against the substrate and reinforcing steel to ensure proper adhesion. Finish initially with a wooden or plastic float and complete the surface with a steel float. For thicker vertical or overhead repairs, apply gradually in multiple hand-pressed patches.
Cure the repair mortar by continuously watering and covering it with polyethylene sheets, or use WHITE SAND Cure curing compound to reduce water evaporation and ensure proper strength development.
Yes. Its extremely low permeability helps protect reinforcing steel against corrosion while minimizing the ingress of water and contaminants.
WHITE SAND REP FR 200 is supplied in 20 kg bags.
The product has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened original packaging in a dry, shaded environment below 35°C.
Clean all tools and equipment immediately with clean water before the mortar hardens. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
Yes. Wear suitable gloves and safety goggles during handling and application. Avoid direct skin and eye contact. Wash exposed skin with soap and water, rinse eyes thoroughly if contact occurs, and seek medical advice for persistent irritation. The product is non-flammable and is not classified as hazardous under current legislation.
Its fiber reinforcement, polymer modification, high compressive strength, excellent bond strength, non-shrink characteristics, low permeability, and compliance with BS EN 1504-3 Class R3 make it ideal for demanding structural concrete repair applications.
WHITE SAND REP FR 200 offers superior structural performance, excellent adhesion, high mechanical strength, low permeability, corrosion protection for reinforcement, easy application on vertical and overhead surfaces, non-shrink properties, and long-term durability, making it an excellent solution for professional concrete repair and restoration projects.
