WHITE SAND REP SR 150 is a high-strength, sulphate-resistant, structural cementitious repair compound. Yes. Reinforcing steel should first be treated with a corrosion inhibitor. The prepared concrete substrate should then be primed using WHITE SAND PRIME RC acrylic primer and bonding agent. Apply the repair mortar while the primer remains tacky.
Slowly add the powder into the measured clean water while mixing with a grout mixer or slow-speed drill fitted with a high-shear paddle. Mix continuously for at least 3 minutes until a smooth, homogeneous mortar is obtained. Do not prepare partial mixes.
Apply the repair mortar by hand or using a steel trowel. Firmly press the mortar into the substrate to ensure complete compaction and excellent adhesion. Finish the surface initially with a wooden or plastic float, then complete the final finish using a steel float.
For thicker vertical applications, gradually build up the repair mortar in firmly pressed layers to ensure excellent adhesion between the substrate and each successive layer.
After application, cure the mortar by continuous water curing and covering it with polyethylene sheets, or use the WHITE SAND Cure curing compound to reduce moisture evaporation and improve strength development.
