SP GROUT is a premium cementitious tile grout developed for swimming pools, fountains, water tanks and other continuously submerged applications.
The product combines Portland cement, graded fillers, special additives and high-quality colorfast materials. When mixed with clean water, it produces a smooth and workable grout with fast curing, high compressive strength and good flexural strength.
SP GROUT is suitable for ceramic, mosaic, porcelain, natural stone and cultured-marble joints up to approximately 4 mm wide. It cures to form a hard, durable and highly water-resistant finish for internal and external applications.

Joint Preparation
Ensure that all tiles are firmly installed and that the tile adhesive has cured completely before grouting.
Remove excess adhesive, dust and debris from the joints to obtain a consistent grout depth.
Natural stone and unglazed tiles may absorb fine grout particles and become discolored. Test the mixed grout on a spare tile before application and consult the tile manufacturer regarding a suitable protective sealer.
Mixing
Place approximately 3.2 litres of clean water in a clean mixing container for each 10 kg bag.
Slowly add SP GROUT powder to the water while mixing continuously.
Mix mechanically until a smooth, homogeneous and workable mortar is obtained.
Do not add more water than recommended, as excessive water may extend drying time, reduce strength and affect color consistency.
Do not add water to grout that has begun to lose workability.
When grouting large areas, use products from the same batch and maintain an identical water ratio for every mix.
Application
Apply the mixed grout using a rubber squeegee, rubber grout float or smooth sponge.
Work the material firmly and consistently into the joints.
Ensure that the joints are completely filled without voids.
Remove excess material from the tile surface as application proceeds.
Remove fine grout residues using a lightly damp cloth or sponge within approximately two hours.
After the joints have dried and hardened, polish the surface using a clean, dry cloth.
Yield and Coverage
The required grout quantity depends on tile length, tile width, joint width, joint depth and the total tiled area.
The approximate amount of grout required per square metre can be estimated using the following equation:
All tile and joint dimensions in the equation should be entered using the same unit. Multiply the result by the total tiled area to estimate the overall grout quantity.
Cleaning
Clean tools immediately after use with clean water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
Storage and Shelf Life
SP GROUT has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened and undamaged original bags under dry warehouse conditions at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
