MASONRY MIX is a premium pre-mixed cement-based masonry mortar comprising hydraulic binders, selected aggregates, special adhesion agents and high-performance additives.
The product is supplied as a dry powder in factory-controlled, pre-weighed bags. It requires only the addition of clean water to produce a cohesive and workable mortar suitable for application in thicknesses from approximately 5–50 mm.
MASONRY MIX provides strong adhesion between concrete blocks, panels and wall connections. It is suitable for internal and external masonry work in dry, humid and harsh weather conditions.

Standards Compliance
Compressive strength tested according to ASTM C109.
Flexural strength tested according to ASTM C348.
Complies with ASTM C270 requirements for mortar for unit masonry.
Evaluated according to ASTM C780 test methods for masonry mortar.
Substrate Preparation
The block-wall surface must be sound, clean and free from loose material, grease, laitance, curing compounds, dirt and other contaminants.
Before application, wet the complete surface using clean potable water. At the time of application, the substrate should appear damp without standing or pooled water.
Mixing
Place approximately 7–10 litres of clean water in a suitable mixing container for each 50 kg bag.
Slowly add MASONRY MIX powder to the water while mixing.
Use a mechanical mortar mixer or a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
Mix for approximately 3–4 minutes until a uniform and lump-free consistency is obtained.
Allow the mixture to stand for approximately 10 minutes.
Remix briefly before application.
Do not add excessive water or additional materials to the mixture.
Application
Neutralize the suction of the block surfaces using clean water.
Remove any excess or standing water before applying the mortar.
Spread MASONRY MIX using a suitable trowel on the contact surfaces and joints.
Position the blocks while the mortar remains workable.
Fill the joints in the same manner as conventional sand-and-cement masonry mortar.
Check the alignment and level of each masonry unit during installation.
After the mortar begins to stiffen, smooth the joints and remove projections or irregularities.
Yield and Coverage
Approximate coverage for one 50 kg bag applied at a 10 mm joint thickness:
Solid Block Size
Approximate Coverage
400 × 200 × 200 mm
15 linear metres
400 × 200 × 150 mm
22 linear metres
400 × 200 × 100 mm
31 linear metres
The stated consumption values are for general guidance. Actual coverage depends on block dimensions, substrate condition, joint thickness, application method and material wastage.
Cleaning
Clean tools immediately after completing the application using clean water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
