EP 20 is a three-component, solvent-free epoxy-resin tile adhesive consisting of a resin base, hardener and specially selected fillers.
Once mixed, the components produce a smooth, non-slump adhesive with good adhesion to steel, concrete and different types of tiles. The product bonds to properly prepared dry or damp substrates and provides resistance to a wide range of chemicals.
EP 20 is suitable for demanding and hygienic locations, including food-processing plants, industrial kitchens, chemical-production facilities, hospitals, swimming pools and aquariums.
Suitable for dairies and food-production facilities.

Bonding tiles to properly prepared concrete and steel substrates.
Suitable for dry or damp substrates.
Advantages
Good adhesion to concrete, steel and different types of tiles.
High resistance to a wide range of chemicals.
Moisture-insensitive adhesion to dry or damp surfaces.
Hygienic in service and does not support bacterial growth.
Easy to apply and clean before hardening.
Solvent-free formulation with 100% solid content.
Smooth, non-slump consistency.
Factory-proportioned three-component system.
Substrate Preparation
All surfaces receiving EP 20 must be sound, clean and properly prepared. Remove dust, oil, grease, cement laitance, loosely adhering particles and any contaminants that may reduce adhesion.
Steel substrates must be properly grit-blasted. Exposed steel surfaces may be protected with a suitable compatible primer where required.
Mixing
Mix complete factory-proportioned packs only.
Pour the entire contents of the hardener into the resin-base container.
Mix for approximately 30 seconds using a slow-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
Transfer the mixed liquid into a clean container.
Gradually add the entire filler component while mixing continuously.
Continue mixing for approximately two minutes until a smooth mixture with a uniform color is obtained.
Application
Apply a thin contact layer of EP 20 to the prepared substrate using the flat edge of a trowel.
Comb the adhesive horizontally using a suitably sized notched trowel.
Maintain an adhesive-bed thickness of approximately 2–6 mm.
Place the tiles into the adhesive using firm pressure to achieve proper contact.
For large-format tiles, apply adhesive to the back of the tile to ensure full coverage.
Install the tiles within the adhesive’s open time.
Ensure that no unsupported voids remain beneath the tiles.
Cleaning
Clean tools and mixing equipment immediately after completing the application. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
Storage and Shelf Life
The EP 20 components have a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened and undamaged original packaging under dry, suitable warehouse conditions.
Elevated temperatures or high humidity may reduce the shelf life.
Packaging
8 kg factory-proportioned packs.
Health and Safety
The three components are non-flammable.
Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and prolonged inhalation of vapours.
Some individuals may be sensitive to epoxy resin and hardeners.
Wear protective gloves, safety goggles and suitable barrier cream.
Ensure adequate ventilation during mixing and application.
Use suitable respiratory protection in enclosed spaces.
Remove uncured material from the skin using resin-removing cream or soap and water. Do not use solvent.
In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately and do not induce vomiting.
Do not dispose of the material in water or soil. Follow applicable local regulations.
