Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance, loose particles, weak coatings and contaminants that may reduce adhesion.

Remove incompatible coatings and repair defective areas before applying PRIME MP.

Application

1. Stir the product thoroughly before application.
2. Apply PRIME MP using a stiff brush, broom, roller or suitable sprayer.
3. Ensure uniform and complete coverage of the prepared surface.
4. Avoid puddles and excessive accumulation.
5. Allow approximately 15-20 minutes of drying at 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
6. Apply the subsequent coating or cementitious adhesive while the primer remains tacky.
7. If the primer dries completely, re-prime the surface.
8. Do not allow dust to contaminate the primed area.
9. If contamination occurs, clean and re-prime before continuing.

Yield and Coverage

• Porous substrates: approximately 5-7 m² per litre.
• Non-porous substrates: approximately 10 m² per litre.

Actual consumption depends on substrate porosity, texture and application method.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment using clean water before the product hardens. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

PRIME MP has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its original sealed container under suitable warehouse conditions, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.
