Substrate Preparation

New concrete and cementitious surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days before applying WHITE SAND THERMO PRIMER.

The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, salts, mold, weak areas, protrusions and other contaminants that may reduce adhesion.

Remove old paint completely from previously painted surfaces. Fill cracks, holes and surface defects using a suitable repair or filling material before application.

Application Conditions

• The application temperature must not be below 5°C.
• The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
• The relative humidity in the working area must not exceed 70%.
• The substrate pH must not exceed 9.
• Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces.
• Do not apply a subsequent coat until the previous coat is fully dry.

Application

1. WHITE SAND THERMO PRIMER is supplied ready to use and must not be diluted.
2. Stir the product carefully before application.
3. Apply using an airless or conventional spray, soft smooth roller or suitable brush.
4. When spraying, use a nozzle size of approximately 1.5-1.8 mm.
5. Apply two uniform coats of WHITE SAND THERMO PRIMER.
6. Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the following coat.
7. Maintain a minimum recoating interval of approximately two hours at 25°C.

Yield and Coverage

The theoretical coverage is approximately 6.8-11.33 m² per litre, depending on the specified dry-film thickness.

Actual consumption may vary according to substrate condition, porosity, application method, ambient temperature, applied film thickness and material wastage.

Drying and Curing

• Surface dry: approximately 30 minutes at 25°C.
• Hard dry: approximately 1 hour at 25°C.
• Minimum recoating interval: approximately 2 hours at 25°C.
• Full cure: approximately 3 days at 25°C.

Cleaning

Clean tools and application equipment immediately after use with a suitable cleaning solvent. Dried material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND THERMO PRIMER has a shelf life of 24 months when stored in its unopened original container at approximately 25°C in a dry, cool and well-ventilated location.

Keep the container tightly sealed and store it in accordance with applicable local regulations.

• 3 litre containers.

• Keep away from heat, sparks and sources of ignition.
• Dispose of leftover material and empty packaging according to applicable local regulations.
