Substrate Preparation

The surface must be sound, clean and free from mould oil, dust, loose particles, projecting material and other contaminants.

Remove loose or projecting material using a wire brush, putty blade, emery stone or another suitable mechanical method.

Apply clean potable water to neutralize substrate suction. Allow excess water to disperse before application. The surface must remain damp without standing water.

During high temperatures or on highly absorbent substrates, dampen the surface frequently to prevent rapid water loss.

Mixing

1. Use approximately 9-10 litres of clean water for each 25 kg bag.
2. Place the measured water in a clean mixing container.
3. Slowly add FINISH WR 200 powder while mixing continuously.
4. Use a slow-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
5. Mix for at least two minutes until smooth and free from lumps.
6. Allow the mixture to stand for approximately five minutes.
7. Remix briefly before application.
8. Use the mixed material within its one-hour pot life.
9. Do not remix or use material that has begun to harden.

Application

1. Apply FINISH WR 200 using a painter’s putty knife.
2. Do not use a conventional mason’s trowel.
3. Build the required thickness gradually using thin layers.
4. Cover all minor irregularities, pinholes and surface voids.
5. Allow each layer to dry before applying the next layer.
6. Do not exceed a total thickness of approximately 3 mm in multiple layers.
7. After the final layer has dried, sand it using fine-grade sandpaper.
8. Apply decorative paint only after the finishing coat has dried completely.

Curing

Curing is generally not required. During high temperatures or strong winds, periodically spray the applied surface using clean water for a minimum of 48 hours.

Yield and Coverage

Approximate consumption is 1.1-1.3 kg/m² at a thickness of 1 mm.

Actual consumption depends on substrate condition, porosity, surface level, application thickness and material wastage.

Cleaning

Clean tools immediately after application using clean water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

FINISH WR 200 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry, shaded place, away from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.

• 25 kg paper bags.

• Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles during mixing and application.
• Avoid unnecessary contact with the skin and eyes.
• Wash skin contact immediately with soap and clean water.
• In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean, cold water.
• Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
• The product is non-flammable and is not classified as hazardous under current legislation.
• Follow applicable local disposal regulations.
