Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, dirt, laitance, oil, grease, loose particles and any contaminants that may reduce adhesion.

Remove firmly adhering contamination and laitance mechanically. Where required, use high-pressure water jetting or wet sandblasting.

Dampen the substrate thoroughly before application. The surface should remain damp without standing water.

Mixing

1. Use approximately 12-14 litres of clean water for each 50 kg bag.
2. Place the measured water in a suitable mixing container.
3. Slowly add SPATTER DASH powder while mixing continuously.
4. Use a slow-speed drill fitted with a high-shear mixing paddle.
5. Mix for at least three minutes until homogeneous and uniform.
6. Use the mixed material within its one-hour pot life.
7. Do not remix or reuse hardened material.

Application

1. Apply SPATTER DASH manually using the traditional trowel-throwing method.
2. Cover at least 90% of the prepared substrate.
3. Apply at a thickness of approximately 3-5 mm.
4. Leave the surface rough and do not smooth it.
5. Allow the coat to harden and cure before plastering.
6. Apply the plaster approximately three days later, depending on temperature and curing conditions.

Curing

Keep the applied surface moist for approximately 1-3 days. Moist curing is particularly important during hot, dry or windy conditions.

Yield and Coverage

One 50 kg bag covers approximately 7-7.5 m² at an average thickness of 4 mm.

Cleaning

Clean tools immediately after application using clean water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

SPATTER DASH has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry, shaded place at a temperature below 35°C.

Packaging

• 50 kg paper bags.

Health and Safety

• Wear protective gloves, safety goggles and a suitable dust mask.
• Avoid contact with the skin and eyes and inhalation of dust.
• Wash skin contact immediately with soap and clean water.
• Rinse eye contact immediately with plenty of clean water.
• Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
• The product is non-flammable.
• Follow applicable local disposal regulations.
