Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, loose particles and contaminants. Dampen the surface before application without leaving standing water.

Mixing

1. Use approximately 4-5 litres of clean water per 25 kg bag or 8-10 litres per 50 kg bag.
2. Slowly add PLASTER MIX powder to the measured water.
3. Mix using a slow-speed drill fitted with a high-shear paddle.
4. Continue mixing for at least three minutes until homogeneous.
5. Use within the one-hour pot life.
6. Do not remix material that has started to set.

Application and Finishing

1. Apply manually using a steel trowel or mechanically using a suitable spiral pump.
2. Place and compact the plaster firmly against the substrate.
3. Apply in layers at a thickness between approximately 1.5 and 15 mm.
4. Allow each layer to stiffen before applying the next.
5. Finish using wooden or plastic floats.
6. Do not add water during finishing; use only a damp sponge when required.

Curing

Moisten the applied surface for two days. During hot, dry or windy conditions, continue periodic fine water spraying for an additional two days.

Yield and Coverage

Approximate consumption is 1.6 kg/m² per 1 mm thickness.

Cleaning

Clean tools immediately with water. Remove hardened material mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

PLASTER MIX has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored unopened in dry, shaded conditions below 35°C.

• 25 kg paper bags.
• 50 kg paper bags.

• Wear protective gloves, goggles and a dust mask.
• Avoid contact with the skin and eyes.
• Wash skin contact with soap and water.
• Rinse eye contact with plenty of clean water.
• Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
• The product is non-flammable.
