Substrate Preparation

New concrete and cementitious surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days before applying the primer or decorative coating.

The substrate must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, salts, mold, weak areas, protrusions and other contaminants.

Remove old paint completely from previously painted surfaces. Repair cracks, holes and surface defects before application.

Application Conditions

• The application temperature must not be below 5°C.
• The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
• The relative humidity must not exceed 70%.
• The substrate pH must not exceed 9.
• Avoid application during windy or rainy weather.
• Avoid application at high temperatures or under direct sunlight.
• Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces.

Application

1. Apply one coat of a suitable WHITE SAND primer and allow it to dry completely.
2. Stir WHITE SAND GRAFFITO COARSE thoroughly before application.
3. The product is ready to use. If required, add only 1-2% clean tap water.
4. Apply one coat using a steel trowel.
5. Apply sufficient pressure to ensure strong adhesion to the substrate.
6. Create the required decorative design using a plastic trowel.
7. Clean the plastic trowel during application using a water-saturated sponge.
8. Smooth and level the surface until a uniform decorative appearance is obtained.
9. Application by a skilled professional is recommended.

Yield and Coverage

The theoretical coverage is approximately 0.3 m² per kilogram at a thickness of 3,000 microns.

One 25 kg drum covers approximately 7.5 m² under theoretical conditions. Actual coverage depends on the substrate, application method, texture, thickness and material wastage.

Drying and Curing

• Surface dry: approximately 2 hours at 25°C.
• Hard dry: approximately 24 hours at 25°C.
• Full cure: approximately 7 days at 25°C.

Cleaning

Clean trowels and tools immediately after application using a sponge saturated with clean tap water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND GRAFFITO COARSE has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in its tightly sealed original container at approximately 25°C in a dry, cool and well-ventilated location.
