Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be structurally sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, loose particles, salts and other contaminants or foreign materials that may affect adhesion.

Remove all weak or loosely adhering material using a suitable mechanical preparation method. Fill cracks, holes and surface defects with a compatible repair or filling compound before applying WHITE SAND PRIMER SEALER – INTERIOR & EXTERIOR.

Application Conditions

• The substrate temperature during application must not be below 10°C.
• The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
• The relative humidity in the working area must not exceed 70%.
• The substrate pH must not exceed 9.
• Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces.
• Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.

Mixing and Dilution

Stir WHITE SAND PRIMER SEALER – INTERIOR & EXTERIOR carefully before application. A suitable quantity of clean tap water may be added to obtain the required application viscosity.

The amount of added water depends on substrate porosity, application equipment and ambient conditions. Avoid excessive dilution.

Application

1. Ensure that the substrate is correctly prepared and completely dry.
2. Apply the primer uniformly using a suitable roller, brush or spray equipment.
3. Ensure complete and even coverage without puddling.
4. Allow the primer to dry for at least two hours at 25°C.
5. Do not apply the subsequent coat until the primer is completely dry.
6. Keep the primed surface clean and protect it against contamination before applying the topcoat.

Yield and Coverage

WHITE SAND PRIMER SEALER – INTERIOR & EXTERIOR covers approximately 12 m² per kilogram at a dry-film thickness of 50 microns.

The stated coverage is approximate. Actual consumption depends on substrate condition, porosity, ambient temperature, application method, actual film thickness and material wastage.

Cleaning

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after completing the work. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND PRIMER SEALER – INTERIOR & EXTERIOR has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry and shaded location, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.

Health and Safety

• Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles during handling and application.
• Avoid unnecessary contact with the skin and eyes.
• In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and clean water.
• In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean, cold water.
• Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
• The product is non-flammable.
• The product is not classified as hazardous under current legislation.
• Do not dispose of the material in water or soil.
• Follow applicable local disposal regulations.
