Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be structurally sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, loose particles and other foreign materials that may reduce adhesion.

Remove weak or loosely adhering material and repair holes, cracks and surface defects using a suitable repair compound before applying the primer and finishing system.

Priming

Apply one coat of a suitable WHITE SAND PRIMER SEALER before applying WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION MATT. Select the appropriate interior, exterior or multipurpose primer according to the application area.

Application Conditions

• The substrate temperature during application must not be below 10°C.
• The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
• The relative humidity in the working area must not exceed 70%.
• The substrate pH must not exceed 9.
• Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces.
• Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
• Do not apply a subsequent coat until the preceding coat is fully dry.

Mixing and Dilution

Stir WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION MATT thoroughly before application until a uniform consistency and color are obtained.

If required, add a suitable quantity of clean tap water to obtain the correct application viscosity. Avoid excessive dilution.

Application

1. Ensure that the substrate is correctly prepared, primed and completely dry.
2. Stir the product thoroughly before use.
3. Add clean water only when adjustment of application viscosity is required.
4. Apply uniformly using a suitable roller, brush or spray equipment.
5. Maintain a dry-film thickness of approximately 50 microns per coat.
6. Ensure complete and uniform coverage.
7. Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the subsequent coat.
8. Protect the applied coating from moisture, dust and contamination until dry.

Yield and Coverage

The theoretical coverage of WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION MATT is approximately 12 m² per kilogram at a dry-film thickness of 50 microns.

Actual consumption depends on substrate condition, porosity, surface profile, application method, applied thickness and material wastage.

Cleaning

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION MATT has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry and shaded location, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.

• Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles during handling and application.
• Avoid unnecessary contact with the skin and eyes.
• In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and clean water.
• In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean, cold water.
• Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
• The product is non-flammable.
• The product is not classified as hazardous under current legislation.
• Do not dispose of the material in water or soil.
• Follow applicable local disposal regulations.
