Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be structurally sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, loose particles and other contaminants or foreign materials that may reduce adhesion.
Remove weak or loosely adhering material using a suitable preparation method. Fill cracks, holes and surface imperfections with a compatible repair or filling compound before applying the primer.
Priming
Apply one coat of a suitable WHITE SAND PRIMER SEALER before applying WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION SEMI-GLOSS. Allow the primer to dry completely before applying the finishing coats.
Application Conditions
The substrate temperature during application must not be below 10°C.
The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
The relative humidity in the working area must not exceed 70%.
The substrate pH must not exceed 9.
Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces.
Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
Do not apply a subsequent coat until the preceding coat is fully dry.
Mixing and Dilution
Stir WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION SEMI-GLOSS carefully before application until a uniform consistency and color are obtained.
If required, add a suitable quantity of clean tap water to obtain the correct application viscosity. The required quantity depends on the substrate, application equipment and ambient conditions. Avoid excessive dilution.
Application
Ensure that the substrate is correctly prepared, primed and completely dry.
Stir the product thoroughly before application.
Add clean tap water only when viscosity adjustment is required.
Apply uniformly using a suitable roller, brush or spray equipment.
Maintain a dry-film thickness of approximately 50 microns per coat.
Ensure complete coverage and maintain a uniform semi-gloss appearance.
Allow each coat to dry fully before applying the subsequent coat.
Protect the applied coating from dust, moisture and contamination until dry.
Yield and Coverage
The theoretical coverage of WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION SEMI-GLOSS is approximately 16 m² per kilogram at a dry-film thickness of 50 microns.
Under practical site conditions, coverage may be approximately 12 m² per kilogram. Actual consumption depends on substrate condition, porosity, application method, film thickness and material wastage.
Cleaning
Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
Storage and Shelf Life
WHITE SAND PREMIUM EMULSION SEMI-GLOSS has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry and shaded location, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.
