Substrate Preparation

The surface must be sound, clean and free from mold-release oil, dust, loose particles, projecting material and other contaminants that may reduce adhesion or affect the final finish.

Remove loose, weak or projecting material using a wire brush, putty blade, emery stone or another suitable mechanical preparation method.

Ensure that the gypsum, gypsum-board or compatible cement-board substrate is dry and stable before application.

Application

1. WHITE SAND PREMIUM GYPSO MIX is supplied ready to use.
2. Stir the material gently if required to restore a uniform consistency.
3. Apply the first coat to the prepared substrate using a painter’s putty knife or suitable finishing trowel.
4. Spread the material evenly and fill minor surface imperfections.
5. Allow the first coat to dry for approximately two hours before applying the second coat.
6. Apply the second coat evenly to produce a smooth finishing surface.
7. Allow the completed application to dry thoroughly.
8. If required, sand the final coat using fine-grade sandpaper.
9. Remove all sanding dust before applying the subsequent decorative coating.

Drying Time

The typical drying time is approximately 3-6 hours, depending on the applied thickness, temperature, relative humidity, ventilation and substrate condition.

Yield and Coverage

The approximate coverage is around 23 m² per 20 kg pail at a thickness of approximately 0.5 mm.

The product data sheet also states a coverage range of approximately 50-70 m² per 28 kg. Actual coverage depends on the substrate condition, surface level, applied thickness, application method and material wastage.

Cleaning

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after completing the work. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND PREMIUM GYPSO MIX has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its unopened and undamaged original container in a dry and shaded location, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature between 10°C and 35°C.

• In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and clean water.

• Do not dispose of the material in water or soil.
• Follow applicable local disposal regulations.
