- High-quality modified alkyd formulation.
- Attractive matt finish.
- Excellent adhesion to properly prepared substrates.
- Excellent leveling properties.
- Produces a smooth and uniform surface.
- Excellent resistance to weather conditions.
- Excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation.
- Good outdoor durability.
- Good resistance to dirt pickup.
- Suitable for multiple substrate types.
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications.
- Available in black, white and other selected colors.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, rust, loose particles, weak coatings and other contaminants that may reduce adhesion.
Repair cracks, holes and surface defects using a suitable repair compound. Steel surfaces must be correctly prepared and free from rust and mill scale. Wooden and mineral substrates must be dry, stable and suitably prepared.
Priming
Apply one coat of a suitable WHITE SAND SOLVENT PRIMER before applying WHITE SAND ENAMEL MATT. Select the primer according to the substrate and allow it to dry completely.
Application Conditions
- The substrate temperature must not be below 10°C.
- The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
- The relative humidity must not exceed 70%.
- Do not apply to wet or damp surfaces.
- Provide adequate ventilation during application and drying.
- Do not apply a subsequent coat until the preceding coat is fully dry.
Mixing and Thinning
Stir WHITE SAND ENAMEL MATT thoroughly before application until a uniform consistency and color are obtained.
If required, add a suitable quantity of Normal Thinner to obtain the appropriate application viscosity. Avoid excessive thinning.
Application
- Ensure that the substrate is correctly prepared, primed and completely dry.
- Stir the product thoroughly before use.
- Thin with Normal Thinner when required.
- Apply uniformly using a suitable spray gun, roller or brush.
- Maintain a dry-film thickness of approximately 50 microns per coat.
- Ensure complete coverage and avoid excessive application, sagging or puddling.
- Allow each coat to dry completely before applying the subsequent coat.
- Provide adequate ventilation throughout application and drying.
Yield and Coverage
The theoretical coverage of WHITE SAND ENAMEL MATT is approximately 10 m² per litre at a dry-film thickness of 50 microns.
Actual consumption depends on substrate condition, surface profile, application method, actual film thickness and material wastage.
Cleaning
Clean all tools and application equipment with Normal Thinner immediately after use. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
Storage and Shelf Life
WHITE SAND ENAMEL MATT has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry and shaded location, protected from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.
Keep containers tightly closed and away from heat, sparks, naked flames and ignition sources.
Packaging
