FR 360 is a dry, pre-mixed polymer-modified cementitious fairing compound based on hydraulic binders, siliceous fillers and specially selected additives.
The product is developed for fair-face repair, filling pinholes, superficial cracks and minor surface imperfections on concrete and plastered surfaces. It may be applied to walls and ceilings in one or two coats at a thickness of up to 3 mm per coat.
FR 360 produces a smooth and uniform surface suitable for receiving texture coatings, paints and wallpaper in internal and external applications.
Fair-face repair of concrete and plastered surfaces.
Rendering walls and ceilings in one or two coats.
Suitable for internal and external applications.
Filling pinholes before applying protective or decorative coatings.
General filling and repair over large surface areas.
Application as a fairing coat up to 3 mm thick per coat.
Filling superficial static cracks in concrete and plaster.
Preparing surfaces before texture coatings, paints or wallpaper.
Advantages
Polymer-modified cementitious fairing compound.
Suitable for concrete walls and ceilings.
Suitable for internal and external applications.
Can be applied in one or two coats.
Fills pinholes, superficial cracks and minor surface imperfections.
Suitable for application over large areas.
Produces a smooth and uniform surface.
Compatible with texture coatings, paints and wallpaper.
Available in white and light grey.
Requires only the addition of clean water.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, demoulding agents, laitance and other contaminants that may reduce adhesion.
Roughen smooth or contaminated surfaces as required and remove cement laitance.
During hot weather, lightly dampen the surface using clean water. The substrate must not be overheated or frozen. Remove any standing or excess water before application.
Mixing
Place the pre-measured quantity of clean water in a suitable mixing container.
Slowly add FR 360 powder while mixing continuously.
Use a slow-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable mixing paddle.
Mix for at least two minutes until smooth, homogeneous and free from lumps.
Allow the mixture to stand for approximately five minutes.
Remix briefly before application.
Use the mixed material within its pot life.
Mix only the quantity that can be applied within approximately 90 minutes.
Application
Apply FR 360 to the prepared substrate using a steel trowel.
Apply each coat at a thickness between approximately 1 and 3 mm.
Allow the material to partially set before smoothing.
When a very smooth finish is required, lightly spray the surface with clean water before final smoothing.
Apply subsequent coatings only after FR 360 has cured and dried sufficiently.
The ideal application temperature is approximately 5-35°C.
At temperatures above 35°C, use cool mixing water to keep the mixed-mortar temperature below 30°C.
Curing
Cure FR 360 using clean water for at least three days by lightly spraying the surface approximately twice daily, depending on climatic conditions.
Yield and Coverage
Approximate consumption is 1.3 kg/m² for each 1 mm of applied thickness.
Actual consumption depends on surface condition, porosity, application thickness, number of coats and material wastage.
Cleaning
Clean tools immediately after completing the application using clean water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.
Storage and Shelf Life
FR 360 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in unopened and undamaged original packaging in a dry, shaded place, away from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.
Packaging
20 kg paper bags.
Health and Safety
Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles during mixing and application.
Avoid unnecessary contact with the skin and eyes.
In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and clean water.
In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with plenty of clean, cold water.
Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
The product is non-flammable and is not classified as hazardous under current legislation.
Do not dispose of the material in water or soil. Follow applicable local regulations.
