Surface Preparation

Surfaces and application areas must be properly prepared, clean and free from dust, loose material, oil, grease, laitance and other contaminants that may impair performance.

Mixing and Preparation

Use directly from the drum after shaking or stirring. As a partial admixture, add 3 parts BOND to 1 part water. For bonding, use neat without dilution. Keep mechanical mixing to no more than 2 minutes to avoid excessive air entrainment.

Application

Clean the surface and remove loose material, varnish, grease, laitance and algae. Brush or spray neat BOND onto the substrate and apply the next mortar while the bonding coat remains wet to tacky. Moisture-cure modified mixes for at least one day, then allow them to dry slowly.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use and before the material hardens. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Health and Safety

Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles.
Avoid unnecessary contact with skin and eyes.
Wash skin with soap and clean water after contact.
Rinse eyes immediately with plenty of clean, cold water and seek medical advice if irritation continues.
Follow applicable local disposal requirements and do not dispose of material in water or soil.
