Substrate Preparation

New concrete and cementitious surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 28 days before applying the primer or decorative coating.

The substrate must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease, salts, mold, weak areas, protrusions and other contaminants. Remove old paint completely and repair cracks, holes and defects before application.

Application Conditions

• The application temperature must not be below 5°C.
• The substrate moisture content must not exceed 8%.
• The relative humidity must not exceed 70%.
• The substrate pH must not exceed 9.
• Avoid application during windy, rainy or excessively hot weather.
• Do not apply under direct sunlight or to wet surfaces.

Application

1. Apply one coat of a suitable WHITE SAND primer and allow it to dry.
2. Stir WHITE SAND FINE GRAFFITO thoroughly before application.
3. The product is ready to use. If necessary, add only 1-2% clean tap water.
4. Apply one uniform coat using a steel trowel.
5. Use sufficient pressure to ensure strong adhesion.
6. Create the required design using a plastic trowel.
7. Clean the trowel periodically with a water-saturated sponge.
8. Smooth the surface until a fine and uniform decorative finish is achieved.
9. Professional application is recommended for optimum appearance and coverage.

Yield and Coverage

The theoretical coverage is approximately 0.6 m² per kilogram at a thickness of 2,000 microns.

One 25 kg drum covers approximately 15 m² under theoretical conditions. Actual coverage depends on substrate condition, texture, application method, thickness and material wastage.

Drying and Curing

• Surface dry: approximately 2 hours at 25°C.
• Hard dry: approximately 24 hours at 25°C.
• Full cure: approximately 7 days at 25°C.

Cleaning

Clean trowels and application tools immediately after use with a sponge saturated with clean tap water. Hardened material must be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND FINE GRAFFITO has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in its tightly sealed original container at approximately 25°C in a dry, cool and well-ventilated location.
