Substrate Preparation

The substrate must be sound, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, laitance, loose particles and other contaminants that may reduce adhesion.

Highly porous substrates, including weather-damaged concrete slabs and aerated lightweight concrete, may require a second coat of primer.

Application

1. WHITE SAND PRIME FS is supplied ready to use.
2. Apply the primer evenly to the prepared substrate using a stiff brush, broom or roller.
3. Allow the primer to dry for approximately 15–20 minutes at 23°C and 50% relative humidity.
4. For extremely porous substrates, apply a second coat after the first coat has dried.
5. Do not allow dust to accumulate on the primed surface before installing the flooring system.
6. If the primed surface becomes contaminated with dust, it must be primed again.

Yield and Coverage

WHITE SAND PRIME FS covers approximately 5–7 m² per litre, depending on the condition and porosity of the substrate.

The stated coverage is approximate. Actual consumption may vary according to surface condition, absorption, application method and material wastage.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after application. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Storage and Shelf Life

WHITE SAND PRIME FS has a minimum shelf life of 12 months when stored in its unopened original container under suitable warehouse conditions, away from direct sunlight, at an ambient temperature below 35°C.

• 20 litre containers.

Health and Safety

• Avoid unnecessary contact with the product.
• Wear suitable protective gloves and safety goggles during application.
• In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water.
• Seek medical advice if irritation continues.
• The product is non-flammable.
